Fallout 4 is coming…and I can’t wait. So while I wait for the newest installment in the Fallout series, let me tell you a tale of a young Fallout fan named GatorMacheteJr. and the deal he made with Bethesda. He traded in BOTTLE CAPS for a pre-order of the game. But did he get his money’s worth? What did he ACTUALLY pay for his copy of Fallout 4? The answer is shocking!

  1. Gold has intrinsic value because it doesn’t corrode, is a great conductor, and is incredibly malleable.

  2. I am watching this during covid 19 so when he asked if you were living in an underground bunker the last few months I said yes

  3. “No bottlecap factories after the war” HA say that to my Pressing X and B right after on a shop in my settlement

  4. Gold is actually really a really good metal for building, it's a soft metal, so pretty easily malleable for shaping but still fairly strong, plus it doesn't rust, so…… Just because you can't eat it or pick a lock with it (Not in brick shape anyway) doesn't mean it's useless, Matt!

  5. I'm not part of this fandom, I have no idea what the storyline is or why I'm here but obviously (based on these comments) something went down in this fan base….and I am determined to figure out what.

  6. It's easier in FO4 now that it's out. 1 stack of prewar money is canonically worth $100, and sells for 8 caps, so 1 cap = $12.5USD

  7. 4 years late but his math was wrong from the beginning because despite the gold bars takeing up 35 points of the player weight it is never said that each point is a pound and if you look at the gold bars which he very clearly shows in the video it says each one is 10oz

  8. 2240 bottlecaps is only 93,333 24 bottle cases of beer. That's not even enough for a Bachelors in Engineering (a 3 year degree.). Let alone Masters in Science of Engineering (5 years)…

  9. I'm making a collection of bottlecaps and I have 19. Meaning I have $988. God I think I'm turning from cottonelle to diamond thinking about that. Nvm I just watched the rest of the video. I'm now back to cottonelle

  10. I like how he was speculating when the fallout universe takes place before the us got nuked, and thought hey, this game with power armor and future stuff definitely takes place in 1961 before the world nuked each other, it literally takes place in 2076… Then 2277 around fo3 I believe, I don't know why I find that so stupid and annoying

  11. I would rather use bottlecaps as world currency than out crappy printing money system through digital money that we have now

  12. The us dollar is not backed by anything it's just paper. Bottle caps are made out of metal aluminum or carbon steel so make of that what you will.
