"Annie's Nannies has come to our
rescue many, many times. All of the nannies that we have hired
through Annie's Nannies have, without
exception, been trustworthy, wonderful people. And our children
have always loved them! Suzanne is a master at placing just
the right nanny with the right
family." -

I am feeling sad and left out because my baby seems to like his nanny better than he does me. This makes me not like the nanny who is a wonderful person. Is this a common feeling or am I being unreasonable?
Yes, this is a very common feeling for many new mothers who hire nannies. The way to resolve this in your own mind is to know that your child is with someone he loves and who obviously loves him back. The more people your child has in his life who love him, the better off he will be. He will be a happier adult as well as a happier baby. I have never heard anyone say that they have too many people who love them. What is unreasonable is harboring negative feelings towards the nanny. I would suggest telling the nanny how hard it is for you to see your son in the care of another person even though you think she is doing a great job with your baby. Be glad that he has a wonderful nanny and remember that no one will ever replace you.
