Are all nannies live-in?
No. In the greater Puget Sound area most nannies are live-out because the nannies that work here also live here. The people who usually hire live-in nannies have very flexible working schedules. For instance, a doctor who is often on-call. In that case, it is easier to have a live-in who is there whenever they are needed. At times, that is very early in the morning, weekends or late evenings. If you do want to hire a live-in, the nanny will need her own room and bathroom. She will be paid a salary plus room and board (meals).
