I've found a wonderful Nanny for my infant son, but am at a loss to determine fair pay....I've checked her references and they're excellent. The care would be full time in her home....she's fabulous but how do I determine pay?

I know that this is a late answer to your question but maybe the following will help you to determine the salary for the wonderful person you have found to care for your child.

A nanny who comes to your home is running between $15 and $18 per hour. However, you are taking your child to the caregiver's home which creates inconvenience for you and convenience for her. She can make some money and still be with her children which is the best of all worlds. Therefore, my advice is to offer her $11 or $12 per hour.

There are going to be times when she will not be available to watch your child because of illness, vacations, etc. In that case we can help you with our on-call service which you can call as the need arises.

I hope this helps.
